On Running Cloudboom Echo 3, Cloudspike 1,500 & 10,000

Although still a relative newcomer, On Running has been making waves on all fronts. Their Cloudmonster has seen a cult-like following emerge and the upward trajectory of their OAC pro teams here and in the states has cemented them as one of the top contenders on the world stage.

Riding that momentum, the Swiss maestros are poised to release three shoes that sit within their 'lightening range'. The lightening range is reserved for pinnacle racing product, product that is developed in close consultation with their elite athletes. Up until now, On's racing product has left a bit to be desired, however the hype and anticipation around these three shoes is real and will have you questioning where your brand loyalties lie.

Cloudboom Echo 3 – $390.00

The latest Cloudboom Echo is the fastest On Running shoe yet, aimed at road races and marathons. This speedy shoe utilises a carbon Speedboard® plate, which On developed to get you moving faster by converting your kinetic energy into forward motion. This is backed by the Cloudtec® midsole equipped with enhanced Helion™ HF forefoot foam to help you with those long-distance runs.

The big story and update to HF superfoam is that it's fully recyclable – made from Pebax and 46% bio-based materials (derived from castor beans). A minimal upper helps to keep weights down, using a lightweight engineered mesh constructed from 100% recycled polyeste

Cloudspike 10,000m – $240.00

World Athletics approved, the Cloudspike 10,000m is the fastest On Running spike for longer distances. All of the signature On technology is there – a midsole built from the high-performance Helion™ HF Pebax® hyper foam is equipped with the signature CloudTec® cushioning system. The unique full-length Speedboard® blends fiberglass and nylon for maximum propulsion, whilst the six removable spikes and lightweight rubber heel pad offer supreme traction.

Both the lightweight mesh uppers and Helion™ HF foam are made with more environmentally friendly materials. The upper is 100% recycled nylon, whilst the midsole is Pebax® and 46% bio-based materials (derived from castor beans).

Cloudspike 1,500m – $240.00

Much like its 10,000m counterpart, the Cloudspike 1500m is world Athletics approved and is the brands fastest spike for middle distances. It features all the same bells and whistles as the 10,000m, a midsole built from the high-performance Helion™ HF Pebax® hyper foam is equipped with the signature CloudTec® cushioning system. The unique full-length Speedboard® blends fiberglass and nylon for maximum propulsion, whilst the six removable spikes and lightweight rubber heel pad offer supreme traction.
