The adidas Prime X Evo is the current peak of ultra long distance race shoes.
Light, fast, responsive and all of the other positive adjectives associated with super shoes, the Prime X EVO is all that and more. However, one thing that’s less on this runner is its weight, clocking in comfortably under 150g for most sizes. The Lightstrike Pro Evo midsole is a generational update to adidas’ flagship foam used in models including the Adizero Adios Pro Evo 2 and helped Sibusiso Kubheka run a whopping 100km in under 6 hours—a fact called out on the tongue strip. While the 50mm stack height rules these out against World Athletics guidelines, nothing is stopping anyone taking these on a spin outside of their jurisdiction.
