The ASICS Superblast gets an update with the much anticipated version 3. They say if it ain't broke don't fix it—and to an extent that's true—but ASICS strive for perfection when it comes to their footwear offering and we wouldn't have it any other way.
The upper is crafted from a new engineered mesh that feels quite accommodating. It's breathable and lightweight, with a more secure fit thanks to a gusseted tongue and a new lacing system—allowing you to adjust and get the right fit with ease.
The most substantial update comes from the midsole. A new addition of FF LEAP™ sits right beneath the foot—a foam utilised in the Metaspeed Ray. It's a soft and versatile foam that's a little more forgiving without compromising on durability, allowing you to get some serious miles out of it. It's a foam that feels fresh and energetic every time, with more give and rebound underfoot. The bottom part of midsole is made up of FF BLAST PLUS+™, adding more support and stability.
The outsole is comprised of famed ASICSGRIP™—utilised in its predecessor—with the welcome addition of AHAR™ LO in the back, enhancing traction and durability on various surfaces and providing even better grip especially in wet conditions.
