The latest injection from adidas and Mexican brand Hermanos Koumori continues their shared approach to running, bringing together adidas' technical know-how with HK's creative perspective.
The Evo SL pares back the extreme lightweight compromises of the Evo 1 to deliver a shoe that’s “only” superlight, weighing in at a scant 224g while providing better all-round training performance. It’s the shoe for a runner that wants to do it all in one shoe while still chasing PBs. The lightweight, breathable woven mesh upper is slightly thicker than the Evo 1, with reinforcements that stretch onto the upper for a more snug fit, while the taller tongue and extended padding add comfort around the foot.
Where the Evo SL differentiates from the Evo 1 most is the tooling, with the carbon plate replaced by a top-loaded Torsion bar system that provides stability without the everyday compromises of a plated race shoe. Lightstrike Pro foam is carried across from the top-tier racer, providing the same energy return and cushioning properties that put it right at the top of industry standards. The Continental and Adiwear rubber outsole rounds things out with reliable traction underfoot.
