adidas and Paris-based running label Satisfy are back for round two. After a reworked Adios Pro 4 earlier this year, their multi-season partnership now takes on the Adizero Adios 9.
The upper is a weather-resistant ripstop in a checkerboard weave, locked down by a LIGHTLOCK band and Slinglaunch heel. Underfoot, a full-length Lightstrike Pro midsole replaces the dual-density foam used in the Adios 8, and the EnergyTorsion Rods give way to a simpler nylon shank in the midfoot, which means better energy return and much more flexibility. The featherweight Lighttraxion outsole keeps things light, with a Continental rubber toe-off patch for grip.
