With full-length Lightstrike Pro is a departure from the dual-density foam midsole used in version 8. Also gone are the EnergyTorsion Rods, replaced with a simplified nylon shank in the midfoot. The outcome is better energy return with much-improved flexibility. One thing which hasn't changed is the ever-grippy Continental rubber used for the toe-off patch alongside the featherweight Lighttraxion outsole.
The Yohji Yamamoto treatment comes through with his signature at the heel, Y-3 branding at the tongue, a scuffed effect and the stack height etched into the midsole.
