A self-professed traditionalist when it comes to running shoe technology, race-day aside. Ben took the new adidas Adizero Adios 6 for a spin and gave us his thoughts below…

I'd been waiting on Adidas Adios 6 becoming available for quite a few months. I'd seen all the rumour posts online, and aesthetically they look and feel like the design team went back to the early '00s, which I'm all for. I'd traditionally run in an Adidas SL20 for workouts on the track (not a shoe I could wear on the road as the low profile of the SL20 would cook my legs), So seeing the new Adios 6 and how light it was with a higher stack than the SL20 I was keen to give them a blast.

On first wear, the lightness of the shoe is pretty undeniable. And if you're used to wearing Adidas shoes, then their rigidity gives them confidence you aren't going to slip or roll. Honestly, how light and responsive they are is nice and refreshing. And I can feel my big toe take the ground reaction while also not feeling like my foot is lingering on the ground.

I'm also a firm believer in spending most of my time logging miles in a non-carbon shoe. I prefer to save that for race day. And I feel like the Adios 6 is a good choice in having something snappy (shoutouts to light strike pro and the torsion plate) to give you that edge in workouts and long runs.

See me doing anything from a track workout, tempo session or 1-1.5hour long run.
