Coming to us in an eye catching Sonic Ink, Screaming Green colourway; the three stripes have your whole rotation covered with the Adizero Takumi Sen 7, Adizero Adios 6, Adizero Boston 10, Adizero Adios Pro 2 and, of course, the controversial yet seductive Adizero Prime X.
All of the above come packed with a slew of tech. Ranging from high energy return Lightstrike and Lightstrike Pro Foam, Carbon EnergyRODS that mimic the bones of your foot, lightweight and breathable uppers as well as Continental rubber outsoles.
For those new to adidas' running catalogue or are just after a little more information before taking the leap, we have compiled a detail explanation of what each shoe is capable of.
A race day flat designed for the competitive runner, the new adidas Adizero Takumi Sen 7 has been redesigned from the ground up to bring you an even more responsive running experience.
The new larger Boost insert in the forefoot works together with the Torsion system to deliver a springy toe off, while the Continental quick strike rubber outsole creates sticky traction to allow you to race confidently on the roads. The Takumi Sen 7 is topped off by a nearly seamless Celermesh upper with half-bootie construction, offering a breathable, locked-in fit for running at high speeds.
Recommended Use: 5 – 10km Racing.
Adidas has revamped the Adios and equipped it with their most competitive cushioning technology making this shoe faster than ever. The Adios 6 has a top sole consisting of adidas' soft and efficient LightstrikePRO compound, which is placed over a peppy Lightstrike midsole. Whilst it is plate-less, a torsion system in the mid-foot adds rigidity. This combination delivers the same fast and responsive ride as the Adios Pro, but in a lower profile. Complete with a strong open mesh upper and strategically placed Continental rubber outsole, the adidas Adizero Adios 6 is a more nimble, lower stack road racing shoe that has all the same technology as the elite marathon models.
Recommended Use: Everything from fast half marathons to tempo runs and long interval training.
Adidas has taken the classic Adizero Boston and evolved it into a competitive road shoe with all the technology needed to increase performance. The Adizero Boston 10 has a high stack midsole that is packed with one layer of LightstrikePro and one layer of Lightstrike EVA. This duel foam midsole protects runners during longer workouts and provides an energy-returning lightweight underfoot feel. The Boston 10 also receives a fine-tuned and propulsive toe-off thanks to adidas’ stiff EnergyRODS that lay parallel to the foot’s metatarsals.
A lightweight mesh completes the Boston and gives this model a fast, race day feel. Overall, the adidas Boston 10 can go toe-to-toe with the most competitive shoes in the category.

Adidas has given the Adizero Adios Pro 2 all the tools needed to be a high-end long-distance road racing shoe. The midsole consists of two layers of resilient LightstrikePRO foam which provides maximum cushion and protection as well as lightweight energy return for longer races ranging from 10k to the marathon. EnergyRODS make an appearance in the midsole and run parallel to the metatarsals giving runners a unique and snappy experience through the toe-off.
The lightweight and breathable upper is designed to be race-ready and provides specific support where it's needed most. The adidas adizero Adios Pro 2 is finished off with a Continental rubber outsole that has incredible traction when taking corners at faster paces.
Recommended Use: Half-Marathon and Marathon Racing.
The adizero Prime X is created as a boundary-breaking conceptual long distance running shoe. Designed without limitations to amplify key features of the Adizero Adios Pro 2 and push the limits of the technology, sharing the same LightstrikePRO midsole and EnergyRODS technology as well as stiffening blades, that spring back added within the heel.
The lightstrike foam compound provides endless energy return from heel strike through to the toe-off phase of the gait cycle. Inspired by tyre technology, Continental rubber supplies traction on wet and dry surfaces, giving you no excuse not to run.
Recommended Use: Half marathons and shorter (non World Athletics events), or as a training shoe for short tempo or speed workouts.
